Dabeli



Ingredients:

  1. Aloo 1kg
  2. Onions 4 Medium Sized
  3. garam masala
  4. Peanuts 1 cup
  5. Salt and Red chilly powder
  6. Aamchur (Mango powder) 1tblspn
  7. Tamrind chutney
  8. Garlic chutney
  9. Corriander chutney
  10. Ham Burger bread

Recipe:

  1. Boil the aloos and after pealing mash them well and keep aside.
    In a pan heat 1/2 cup oil for frying the peanuts, deep fry and add salt about 1 tspn, 1tspn sugar, red chilly powder 1/2 tspn.
    In the remaining oil add Half of the chopped onion and half of the peanuts keep rest half for garnishing.
  2. Then add 2 tblspn garlic chutney allow to sizzle,add garam masala, amchur, redchilly powder, 3 tblspn Tamarind chutney, to this add the mashed aloos.
  3. Apply remaining chutneys on bread and fill the potatoe stuff.
  4. Garnish with grapes, pomegranate, pineapple, grated coconut, onions, Masala peanuts, thin Sev (Whatever you wish to use for garnishing).
  5. You can even toast the bread after stuffing (it tastes even better).

  1. Love this stuff! I haven't made it in a while....did you know, they sell Dabeli no Masalo in India? I got some last time, it's pretty good.

  2. Absoluetly Trupti, Dabeli masala is so very covenient. even i get it from India. but i run out of masala pretty soon. since i make dabeli very often..so chutneys, aamchur and garam masala is the subsitute i use and it taste exactly the same.

  4. You can get the debali masalo over here in any Patel stores. Its not as good as India (the one from Bhuj is the best) but can suffice.
