Sri, this Rasmalai recipe rocks.
I was expecting few guests for dinner other day. I planned out the entire menu but got stuck in dessert. I was wondering what can be quick & easy dessert to make. So while browsing for all dessert recipes I came across sri’s Blog ‘Daavat’. She had posted Rasmali recipe. I was surprised to see that it can be so much easy to make rasmalai. So after looking at that yummy rasmalai picture & easy recipe I planned to try this recipe for dessert. And it came out sooooo.... good. Everybody just loved it and was not ready to believe that I made this at home and it can be so easy. And you are right Sri it does tastes better with time.

Dabeli
Ingredients:
- Aloo 1kg
- Onions 4 Medium Sized
- garam masala
- Peanuts 1 cup
- Salt and Red chilly powder
- Aamchur (Mango powder) 1tblspn
- Tamrind chutney
- Garlic chutney
- Corriander chutney
- Ham Burger bread
Recipe:
- Boil the aloos and after pealing mash them well and keep aside.
In a pan heat 1/2 cup oil for frying the peanuts, deep fry and add salt about 1 tspn, 1tspn sugar, red chilly powder 1/2 tspn.
In the remaining oil add Half of the chopped onion and half of the peanuts keep rest half for garnishing. - Then add 2 tblspn garlic chutney allow to sizzle,add garam masala, amchur, redchilly powder, 3 tblspn Tamarind chutney, to this add the mashed aloos.
- Apply remaining chutneys on bread and fill the potatoe stuff.
- Garnish with grapes, pomegranate, pineapple, grated coconut, onions, Masala peanuts, thin Sev (Whatever you wish to use for garnishing).
- You can even toast the bread after stuffing (it tastes even better).

Chinese Bhel (Fusion food)
Ingredients:
- 200 gms noodles (I use thick variety noodles)
- Finely shredded veggies 1 cup - carrot, cabbage, capsicum, spring onion, Bean sprouts
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup (I use Heinz)
- 1 tsp chilli sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Recipe:
- Boil the noodles and then deep fry
- Wrap the fried noodles in a tissue paper to absorb excess of oil
- Add veggies
- Add vinegar, chilli sauce and the Ketchup (Use of ketchup can be varied)
- Add salt and pepper
- Mix well and serve immediately.

Turiya(Ridge Gourd) Paatra Nu Shaak
Ingredients:
- 2 cups ridge gourd (turiya), peeled and diced
- 1 cup lavingya paatra ( I use ready paatra from Deep) Sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1 teaspoon green chillies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
- 2 teaspoons coriander-cumin seed powder (dhana-jeera)
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon oil
- salt to taste
- For the garnish 1 tablespoon grated coconut
- 1 tablespoon chopped coriander
Recipe:
- Heat the oil in a handi and add the cumin seeds. When they crackle, add the ridge gourd, 2 cups of water and salt and cover with a lid.
- Add the green chillies, ginger paste, turmeric and coriander-cumin powder and cook until the ridge gourd is tender.
- Add the paatra, lemon juice and sugar and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with grated coconut and coriander.
Quick Pizza ( Can serve as Appetizer)
Ingredients:
- English Muffins.
- Tomato Sauce ( I use pasta sauce from Ragu).
- Toppings of your choice ( Bell pepper, onions, Pine apple, Jalapenos, Olives).
- Oregano.
- Salt & Red Pepper Flakes.
- grated Mozzarella Cheese.
Recipe:
- Slice the muffins in half, and place them cut side up in a baking pan.
- Spoon some sauce onto the muffin halves.
- Sprinkle With Oregano, Cheese.
- Add any combination of Toppings.
- Sprinkle Salt & Red Pepper Flakes, end with cheese on top.
- Place under the broiler until the cheese melts and starts to bubble (3-5 minutes).
Serve immediately.
